About Maryville, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Maryville is the county seat of Blount County, Tennessee. With a population of about 28,000, it is relatively small but is quite near Knoxville as well as many other famous Tennessee attractions.  It experiences seasonal weather which means residents are in sundresses in the summer and wool coats in the winter.  It is an ideal place to live, work and play for those who love to watch the seasons change and who are looking for a slower pace than a big city but want to be near the action.

Maryville is home to the historical Maryville College. It was founded in 1819 and is a private, 4-year, liberal arts college that is associated with the Presbyterian church. The college was a source of strong anti-slavery and pro-secession sentiments during the Civil War. Because of the influence of the school, Knoxville was greatly divided between Union and Confederate support. This is a small college that only enrolls about 1,000 students per year but is worth a visit on a cool, crisp fall day if you are looking into colleges. It will certainly be a great option for students looking for a slow-paced campus with a lot of personal attention.

Its location so close to Knoxville, also makes it a great place to go to college.  Students can enjoy the “small town” feel of Maryville and then head over to Knoxville for a day of shopping or a night on the town.  Downtown, you will find the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, The East Tennessee History Center as well as movie theatres, bars, restaurants, and more. There are many venues for outdoor concerts, a great way to enjoy a beautiful Knoxville Spring day and the arts in Knoxville have generally flourished.

Also nearby are Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. All of these attractions are wonderful ways to spend a day (or two) soaking in the beauty and natural wonder that Tennessee has to offer.  No matter in what season you choose to visit, there is a great deal to see in the beautiful mountainous areas of the eastern part of the state.  You can enjoy the autumn colors, the winter’s snow, the spring’s flowers, or the summer’s heat and activity.  No matter what, you will have a great time.
